The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Msn working, Internet browser not.

    for some reason i cant go on any web pages in my internet browser,even when i have a good connection, but i can go on msn. i am running on windows vista if that makes any difference... :confused:

    i dont know what you mean but i should also mention that it stopped working randomly and other computers in my house are working fine on the internet

    Is there a checkmark at the proxy thing?

    Have you tried with Firefox?

    there isn't a checkmark in the proxy box, and firefox doesn't work either :(

    Have you made an recent changes to your system? Added or deleted any apps which affect your internet service? Changed firewall, AV or their settings?

    Have you checked to see if your firewall is blocking I.E.?

    Does the Internet work if you plug the Ethernet cable into the laptop?
