I have a HP dv2000t with windows vista 32bit that I use at several wireless locations around town. I currently have 3 wireless connections setup to automatically connect to these access points when I'm at that location. Whenever I go to a new location and add a 4th to my wireless connection list it causes problems. It will let me add the new location and it will work fine but when I go back home and try to connect it fails to connect. Once I delete the newly added 4th location It then connects to my home access point without a problem. Is this a limitation of Windows Vista?

    Thanks

Sounds like one of MS Added Security Features ..... Just kidding a bug.

Check to make sure you have the latest drivers. If so you need to report it to HP so they can fix their driver.

Well, I contacted HP support about this issue and the level one tech couldn't help. He said they needed to assign me to level 3 tech but I would have to pay $69.95 for 45 minutes of tech support to fix this issue. Or, I could pay $149.95 for 6 months of unlimited talk time. I find this absured that I have to pay anything for a machine that is barely a month old and came to me like this. I wish I had not bought the HP now.

That is a little odd since it's a new notebook.

Well return the unit and buy a different brand.

Just make sure you wipe your files.
