    Hi guys

I will start off by saying this is quite confusing so bare with me.

I was wondering if I managed to split by telephone line in to 2, whether is is possible to connect 2 modems on and use the internet on 2 computers at the same time.
So please tell me if there would be any conflict... etc...

    thanks

if you guys don't know what i'm talking about please post questions

    thanks again

No. If you only have one physical phone line, you can only connect one computer at a time. You CAN enable Internet Connection Sharing between the two computers using a crossover cable, but the trouble you would go to for such a slow speed really isn't worth it, especially considering ICS would probably leave both your systems going at half their normal connected speed.

Keep in mind that many ISPs will charge you for having two separate connections on two discrete phone lines, too, so there really isn't a way to do what you're asking outside of a slow, cumbersome Internet Connection Sharing setup.

If your referring to DSL modems the answer is still NO. There are some routers that have serial ports so you can hookup a external modem. This would allow sharing the line, but it would be extremely low.
