    Hi all.

I'm having some issues with my mobile broadband, but think it may be laptop related rather than the dongle or Orange.

I use the software Orange provides and connect, the software says it's connected.

This is the problem, windows says it's connected but no network access, windows tries to fix the problem but to not avail. When I go into the properties of the connection it has an IP address, everything is as it should be but no IPv4 or IPv6 connectivity.

    Here are some pictures:

Have you tried reinstalling or updating the adapter and its drivers?

another option would be to delete the 3g connection in Network Connections. Worked for me the last time I couldn't connect to Verizon

Another option is to get rid the carriers abusive software off of your laptop. I have a Verizon dongle. I have had it for several years. When I use it on my laptop it seldom works properly for more than a few weeks before there are software issues that cause it to stop connecting. When I removed it I had to go into c programs and regedit to remove it before reinstall or it would not allow a connection. A couple of times even this did not work and I had to reboot to c drive so it would work. Many calls to the carrier Verizon and visits to there centers and the problem persisted until I purchased a portable router for it. I have not had a problem since.

Were your problems with the latest VZAccess Manager? I use VZAM for all my wireless networking and it works awesome. When I am at home it automatically uses my home wireless, then when I leave the house the automatically switches to Broadband. Not one problem. You just have to make sure you go into the settings and set it up correctly.
