good morning, last night i put a sparklan 300mbps mimo wireless card in to my notebook and very nice it is too.
i have a d-link dir 635 router, also mimo enabled.

my notebook only has one aerial inside it which i have connected to the card and it tells me signal strength is excellent so no complaints up to now (might upgrade the d-link soon to the one that has a gigabit swtich in it)

however, what i wish to know is, to make the card use it's mimo capability, do i need to fit another 2 aerials in my notebook to attach to this card (it has three connectors), and if so, does it matter where i route these aerials?

    many thanks

MIMO needs a min of 2 antennas to work. So if you can add the extra antenna(s) your speed/distance may improve. 11n hardware needs 3 for it to have the best performance. The multiple antennas improve the receiver side.
