I'm using Vista Business 32. When I go into windows media player's I can see that there are two computers that are sharing their media.

This is the only place the other computers show up in. I don't see them in any part of the Network and Sharing Center, only wmp. I'm also not able to access their music.

Is this because I have the Business edition, xp vs. vista, workgroup names mixed up, or something else?

It could be mixed up workgroup names, or it could be that there are a couple of nearby computers that WMP recognizes as shareable but that are not actually sharing. For example, WMP will pick up and share with an Xbox360, but Network and Sharing completely ignores the console.
