Do a lot of people really consider it annoying ZoneAlarm's bit of instantly popping up a confirmation box whenever a new program attempts to access the network or internet? I've always liked that feature! Is it true Vista's built-in firewall has a similiar feature that can be enabled? I've always used ZA in XP and I'm currently using it now in Vista with no probs, but running one less 3rd party app for functionality that Vista now provides would be a plus!

Vista's firewall only monitors incoming, not outgoing, so it's not possible. Just download ZA and disable the Vista firewall.

It can do it for outgoing too, but it's very difficult to set up.

You don't get it. It can do outbound traffic restriction by itself.
