Hey guys, I don't know too much about routers, so I came to the one place for advice from people I can trust: NBR! I recently purchased a Dell Vostro 1400, and I need a router so my old desktop and my new notebook can share internet. My old desktop doesn't have a wireless card, so I would need a connection connecting desktop, modem, and router. My notebook will have g wireless, so I don't need any new fancy N-wireless routers. I'm trying not to spend more than $40, so would any of you know of good quality routers for a cheap price??

    Thanks a billion =)

You don't want a belkin if you you want good and reliable. Spend the money for a good one so you are not having problems every day. Since Buffalo are not currently available The Linksys WRT54GL is the one you want for around $80.

Actually, go to Fry's or a local electronic shop and pick up the basic Linksys Wireless Router. You could usually get it for around $50. Does all you need it to. Or if you're at Fry's, they sometimes have great deals on Netgear routers.

You got lucky, I have yet to find one that has worked more that 1 mo. I even had 1 dead right out of the box. So I no longer recommend them.
