I recently placed an order for a Sager NP5125 laptop and had it equipped with the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 wireless card. I never had wireless in my home before so I was wondering if anyone might be able to offer some advice as to a decent wireless router to compliment this wireless card.

I found 2 well rated choices on Newegg, but I am not sure if they are the ones for me or if I should look for a N router, etc. I am trying to stay around the ~$100 price range if that makes a difference.

Here are the 2 that I noticed:
    Newegg.com - Linksys WRT54GL IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless-G Broadband Router

Newegg.com - BUFFALO WHR-HP-G54 IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless-G High Power Router and Access Point

    Advice, suggestions, all are appreciated.

Considering that one, anyone else with any suggestions?

Anyone mind explaining what would be the main differences going with a N router vs. a G router?

The difference is LAN speed- upgrading from 802.11g to 802.11n won't improve your download speeds (unless your connection from ISP is roughly 23mbps or more) but 802.11n is faster in terms of LAN transfers (from one computer in your house to another)
Range does not improve contrary to what manufacturers would like you to believe- same transmit power and same frequency so the range stays the same.
What improves is speed you get in certain point- somewhere where with 802.11g you would achieve say 5mbps 802.11n will give you significantly more.
That may be important if some of your wireless users are far from the router but still would like to achieve good speeds (especially important if you have a fast connection)
All routers mentioned in this thread are 802.11g so I see no point in buying any of those to pair them with your Intel 6300.
It all depends on your budget but if you can afford it- Netgear WNDR3700 is king of the hill followed by Linksys E3000.
