I only want to spend $30 or below. I just need to get my pc to connect to the xfinity hotspot.
I'm using windows 10 so the drivers need to be compatible. The reason why I'm asking for help is because I have no idea what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter. As long as it can connect and get speeds up to 20mb on speedtest, then I'll be satisfied.

Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
@Xellon this one's good. You basically want something 2x2 802.11ac with external antennas. I wouldn't spend much more than $10 on it since 802.11ac will be superseded by (much better) 802.11ax soon.

WhatsThePoint Notebook Virtuoso
What are you using now to connect to the Internet?
Older notebook with internal wireless card?
I would think that 20 Mbps is not hard to get in a speedtest even with older wireless-N cards if you have your security settings set for WPA2(AES)
If the mini pcie slot is working in the notebook listed in your signature I'd put in a new card before I'd use a USB device.downloads likes this. -
Oh no. Its for someone else, although I used "I" and "My" on the first post, my fault. Its a desktop. I didn't really look at the specs much but it had a newer i7 processor unlike my laptop.
