I am looking for a wireless router to put in my room. our wireless modem is upstairs on the opposite side of the house so i do not get a good signal so i have a cable run to my room for a wired connection. I plan to put the router in my room and will be using the wireless for gaming on my laptop and ps3 aswell as browsing online. my laptop supports wireless N so a 802.11n router would be ideal. I have heard a bunch of stuff about dual band routers and 2.4ghz vs 5ghz and dont know which suits me best. My room is 16'x25' and the router would be mainly for this area only. For what i plan to use this with (gaming/browsing) what band am i looking for mainly and any model reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

    TY

edit: oh and i dont know if they all offer it but backwards compatibility for 802.11g/b would be good for friends bringing their notebooks over also
