    Linksys/time Warner Modem Connect Prob

    I AM TRYING TO HOOK UP LINKSYS ROUTER WTR54G AND I HAVE TIME WARNER CABLE ROADRUNNER MODEM. NOTHING IS WORKING. SEEMS LIKE I HAVE DONE ALL THE RIGHT STEPS AND WHEN I DISCONNECT THE NOTEBOOK FROM THE ROUTER I LOSE INTERNET. WHAT IS HAPPENING???? HOW HAVE I GONE WRONG? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

    I understand that you have connected the modem to the router and that you can access Internet as long as your notebook is connected via Ethernet cable, am I right?
    If so, what you need is to log in to router http://192.168.1.1 (default login and pass is on the back of the router and in the manual) and set up some SSID and pass/protection scheme (preferably WPA2/AES with hidden random SSID) and then set it up on the notebook the same way.

    You needs to clone your MAC address of the wired port into the router. Normally found in advance WAN settings.
