Title pretty much says it all. I have N, G and game console systems, so I would like a "true" concurrent dual channel router. I have read reviews and they they both have pros and cons:

The Linksys is more readily available but seems to have mixed reviews and connection drop issues. The D-link is harder to get hold of(not sold in retail outlets for some reason), but their version 2 seems to have most of the bugs worked out of it. Their 825 version seems to have reduced range.

So I'm looking for practical experience from folks that have either/or.

    Thanks...

I originally purchased a DIR-628 and I'm not satisfied with it. So I purchased the DIR-655 and I'm loving it. No dropped connections so far. I'm always getting 130Mbps on my laptop. (I haven't set up the router to accept 300Mbps)

Why is it harder to get? My local Best Buy and Frys have a bunch of them in stock. I got it on sale for $79.99 at Fry's.

I have been using a WRT610n, and i have mixed feelings. It's perfectly setup and and provides great range and ability. I've never had any dropouts, and i have an Intel 5100(n) and it's the middle of Summer (35+degrees celcius) and it's on all day. So if anyone ever had reason to expect signal droputs or disconnections it's me. I can only seem to get 130Mbps, but i believe it's because of the 5100.

I'm using 5Ghz on my laptop and 2.4Ghz on another, and 3 wired gigabit PC's and it's all doing it's job as it should be. I do have some concerns with Linksys, their support seems poor... I have a bridged Billion too, who just have outstanding local support)Other issues like the USB port for External HDD's, which only works @3Mbps instead of 30+Mbps like any other USB port on my 1TB drive is very disappointing.

There are a few other issues with the software that is provided, the setup CD crashed on me on every PC in multiple ways, i set it all up manually but i have seen reviews which have stated the same thing. Some minor niggles, but the Wireless performance and stability is much better than what i had heard it was.

Id just get the DIR-825. The 855 doesnt seem worth the 2x price tag... Also if all your devices are wireless just find a non gigabit wireless router.
