I use the LAN port on my E-900, however no matter how many times I change the network name/reboot the router my computer says the LAN is connected to "admin" (router default name), how do I change this to a different name?

It if helps, the internet source is from a Motorola SURFboard cable modem, connecting LAN directly from the modem to PC result in an unnamed network.

Most routers do not allow the admin/administrator username to be changed, only the password.

My Netgear R6300 doesn't allow it nor has other Netgear,Linksys,D-Link,TrendNet or ZyXel I've owned.

Add my EnGenius to the above list...honestly, as long as your password is strong enough, who cares...
