Hi guys... I'm just getting my Dell 8600 this week and want to set up a wireless system in the house. It will have b/g and bluetooth. I'd like to:
1. Print to my USB Printer wirelessly
2. Play music/video from the notebook to the home theater system, (wired speakers already set up)
3. integrate video cameras in a couple of rooms and outside
4. Have additional wireless storage (120GB+)
5. Use VOIP with digital or bluetooth headset
.. When I'm looking at different equipment to meet these needs/wants I'm seeing a lot out there that can handle one, two, or three of these things.. but I want to avoid buying a million pieces of hardware to address these issues. So, my question for all who dare... what is the least amount I need to buy to make my dreams come true? I like the look and portability of the Apple AirPort with it's iTunes functionality (but it can't handle video) - how do I make it all happen with the least amount of crap?

Will no one take on the challenge of setting up this network with the least amount of hardware???

if you have a desktop set up, you can use it as a kind of server, useing windows netorking, you can share printers (could buy an independant print server), and map network drives (plug the extra 120 into the pc and map it on the notebook). I believe microsoft has something for wireless audio/video from your pc (or notebook i suppose) to your tv/amplifier. I know there are wireless webcams, some stream it on the net, and you view it with a login (i would think). I don't however know enough about VoIP to help you there.
Least amount to get the job done?
