    Laptop wifi boots off when router's wireless is on

    I have a hp pavilion dv7 and when I turn on the wireless of my laptop the wifi adapter gets disconnected. I can't give more information because this has never happen to me before, but I will gladly answer any questions. And I really, really need help here. fn doesnt work and niether does the wifi button

    Does the Wi-Fi card show any issues (yellow triangle) in device manager?

    no it doesn't but where would the wifi card be located in device manager? I don't think I saw a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. I also try updating the drivers but that didn't work as well.

    It's located under "network adapters" - you have to click on it and there should be two adapters listed - Ethernet one and Wi-Fi.

    hold on a sec, I think I fix it but I'm having a few problems. one the wireless icon on the taskbar doesn't show up but the wi fi button is blue now. and the network and sharing center says unknown on the page
