Okay, I know that a lot of wireless cards support using a wired ethernet connection and the wireless card to create a wireless access point. The wireless card can behave as an accesss point and transmit signal just like a router. I've seen it done with an Intel 2200 card. But I can't seem to figure out how to do this with my 3945. Does anyone know if it's possible to do so with this card, and if so, how?

I believe you would need to set up an ad-hoc network with the wireless card, and then bridge to the wired ethernet connection. In windows, I believe you can simply right click and select "Bridge" but I dunno exactly how that works. If you want to do this with Ubuntu, check out http://linux-net.osdl.org/index.php/Bridge

Well, thanks for the reply, but that's not exactly what I was talking about (plenty of info of that on the net). This is more what I was talking about. But I don't think it can be done on the 3945 as I don't have options for Infrastructure mode, just Ad-Hoc.
