    Hi everyone.
    I'm having this problem.
My notebook is an Asus U30JC. If i try to play a lan game over the wifi, with the desktop, it cannot connec to to any game. The router is a Dlink Dir-600, wired to the desktop. Connecting the notebook with a cable, every lan game works ok.
With the wifi, i can share files and everthing works ok with the desktop (except the lan games, of course).
The desktop OS is windows 7 ultimate. The notebook OS is Windows 7 Home Premium. Both antivirus are NOD32.
Firewall in both pc's is the basic from windows. Tried to disable it in the notebook, with no changes.

    Any help?

Both pc's are connected in the same network. I can share files over the network. No tools used for sharing files. Only windows with it's network sharing tools. All working over the (wireless) lan network, but games. Pluging the wire and disabling the wifi adapter in the notebook, lan games work too.

Only if wired. Wireless can't see any hosted game. Hosting in the laptop works in the same way...

    Check your firewall settings.

I'm using the windows firewall, and any game have permissions to access lan and internet.
Anyway i don't think that the firewall can be the problem, because using wired lan everything works OK...

You probably have the Wifi set as a "public" network, and the wired connection set as a "work" or "home" network. Change your network type to Home for your wifi connection, and you'll get it working.
