    Lan Cable Notebook Question

    Hello all, I have an old Dell Inspiron 3500 Notebook, and as there is no ethernet jack on it, it does have a Lan card inserted into the side. I have never seen this before as I am new to notebooks, but I need to know what type of cable, I need for this. I have a link to the pictures below of what it looks like. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    You have got a PCMCIA network card but you haven't got the "dongle" which is the adaptor lead which plugs into the card and has a network socket on the end. See the attached picture as an example.

    You might be able to find a dongle as a spare part, or you may need to buy a new (or second hand) card + dongle.

    you can buy the whole card and dongle for ~$10, there are no demand for them and mfg have dumped them.
