Okay, this doesn't just have to do with my laptop, it also has to do with my Xbox 360 but I thought this would be a good place to ask for help. I have my Xbox routed via ethernet into my laptop which is wirelessly connected to the internet. The Xbox can connect to Xbox Live fine and up until 4 or 5 days ago it had no problems at all. Now there are constant lag spikes and I have no idea how to fix it. For a while I thought our ISP was having problems, my ethernet cable was bad, the connection settings were bad, all this stuff. But then my brother used his laptop and there were absolutely no lag spikes. So now I know it's my computer. And I'm pretty sure I have a problem with the ethernet driver. The problem started shortly after I clean installed Windows 7 after having problems with it the first time when I only upgraded.

The driver the ethernet uses is the Nvidia nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet driver. I have uninstalled it and downloaded the latest one off of Nvidia's site to reinstall and the problem still happens. Can someone help me? Modern Warfare 2 is calling me and I can't play a single game without lag. It makes the game not fun.

You answered your own question, Windows 7.

There is a lot of drivers issuse with Win7. It's an added feature the MS adds to all of it's OS's....

Ok, well maybe it would be helpful to get an answer from someone other than a Mac fanboy. Maybe some help from Windows people on how to fix this driver.

Well just an update if there is someone out there who actually cares enough to respond. I fixed an IP conflict I was having and I thought that would fix the problem but it didn't. What it did do was make it so the lag doesn't happen every minute it just happens every 3-5 minutes. To me, any lag is bad lag so I would like to get this fixed. Does anybody know a good way to fix this driver? Or if it is something else?
