    Hi there,

I recently purchased a laptop and I downgraded to Windows XP and it originally came with Vista Home Premium, but did not get a recovery CD since it was a demo laptop, so I didn't anything with it just the laptop itself and powercord. I have installed all my drivers for XP except for my "wireless network adaptor" I used Driver Genius, but it doesn't seem to find the network controller at all and I looked up the driver for the LGR405 on the LG website and it says it's "AzureWave Wireless LAN BG", but it's for Windows Vista. Would anyone know if there is a driver for Windows XP instead of Windows Vista?

    Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention that the model is R405-A and I've tried using the other model drivers, but doesn't seem to work.

WoW LG makes laptops...I really didn't know that..I just went in the notebook manufacturers section on this forum to check and they actually do... :) anyway..click hereand choose the XP OS u downgraded to whether it be Pro or Home, then under the Drivers section (Intel Tested) download the driver.

Hi thanks for the reply haha, but yes LG does make laptops. Quite glad that I upgraded to this laptop. I actually found the driver for it after like.. 4 hours of my night and I had to work the next morning too, but if anyone has the same problem as me, here is the information on the Wireless Adaptor.

LG R405-A Wireless Network Adaptor is a Ralink Wireless, it can be found on the Ralink website.

hi kchong. I also recently purchased a r405-A from LG, and I was wondering where you found all the drivers for it, more specifically,
    -network controller
    -sm bus controller
    -video controller (vga compatible)

I haven't tried it yet, but I think that the network controller is the same one you were looking for.
