I have an ASUS F3F (1 year old) and ASUS F3Jm (1 week old) and they are virtually identical... the network cards are RealTek and slightly different.

I have NO issues with the F3F. HOWEVER, with the F3Jm, whenever I "disable" the LAN, and try to re-enable, it always says "connection failed". I don't understand why. I check the device manager, and the card disappears! It's like it uninstalls itself and loses the driver. The only way to fix it is to reinstall the driver, then uninstall it, reboot, and reinstall again.

It's a fresh install of XP sp2 with all updates. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!
