    Hi,

I have a Killer Wireless N-1103 card that is having signal problems. I'm fairly sure it's a wiring issue as the card has 3 antennae.

Before I go playing around with different combinations, does anyone know the correct wiring order?

What I find confusing is that there's a black cable, but with a white piece of small tape round a part of it, and a white cable, with some black tape around it, and then another plain black cable with no tape around it.

    Which colour is which!?

I've looked online for an installation manual for the card but cannot find one.

    Thanks

It really doesn't matter which antenna wire is connected to #1,#2 or #3 on the Killer 1103.

To get the 450Mbps advantage of a 3 antenna 1103 on the5ghz band the router must be able to do it.

From the factory the black wire is normally the primary and attached to #1 and the grey wire the auxiliary attached to #2 on stock wireless cards that use 2 antennas

The main thing is that the antennas are in good working condition an securely attached to the card.

The 3 antennas, for best results, should be as far away from each other as possible.

When I used an 1103 in an MSI GT780DX I had the extra added antenna on the right side of the screen while the 2 factory antennas were on the top on each side of the camera.

If your router has internal antennas try standing it on end facing the location where the notebook is situated for better reception.
