The Wireless adapter of my GT75VR is broken and I'm currently looking for some other alternatives that is compatible with the said system.

I already have these in mind.

    • Intel® Wireless-AC 8265 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n 2x2 NGFF w/ Bluetooth 4.2
    • Killer™ Wireless-AC N1550 802.11 ac/a/g/n 2x2 NGFF w/ Bluetooth 5.0
    • Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n 2x2 NGFF w/ Bluetooth 5.0
But if there are better Wifi cards out there please do post them.

I’d take the 9260ac as it improves on the 8265 especially with the addition of HT160 and Bluetooth 5.0. By the way the Killer 1550 is literally a 9260ac with Killer branding so you only technically listed two cards not three. If you pair it with a HT160 supporting router like the Netgear R7800 you can get 800-910+ Mbps (100-114 MB/s) in real world speeds.

I believe Intel makes a tri band card, but other than that, go for the Killer or 9260, which ever is cheaper

rather than start a new post, thought id put my answer here and ask @Midas Touch what did you choose in the end,

after getting my AW 15 R3 a month back, it came with a killer 1435 wireless card, i recently did a clean windows 10 pro install, hoping it may solve the crappy wireless connection, my router is 2G/5G, and actually the 2G seemed better with the killer card, but id get 9/13 Mps at best but would go to zero constantly, which made installing my steam games a nightmare, and the killer LAN port didnt fair any better!

my inspiron 15z which has an intel AC 8265 i installed in it, and that was alot better, so had to download my steam games then transfere them over,

i plumped for a AC 9260 from ebay £24, today i installed it, wasnt expecting much really, but WOW, instantly 24-27 Mps and didn't lose the connection at all, well happy with that,

anyone struggling with there killer card, dont hesitate, get an intel AC 9260 you wont regret it,

I'm about to install the WLAN card and I forgot to take note about the two cables. Black and Red, Main and Aux. Which cable should go to where?

    Sorry. I'm such a noob.

I don't think it matters. "Usually" the red goes on Aux and the black on main, but who knows now with the colors shifted. The Killer 1535 and the Intel 8260 had white for main and black for aux, then the 9260 and the 8265 had black for main and white for Aux. I'd say switch with the original, that is, "black (or white) marked cable" on main and red marked cable on Aux, regardless of the colors on the Wifi card. I never saw a difference.

One thing I did notice is that sometimes bluetooth (on an Xbox one controller) would just lose range on both the 8265 and the 9260. I even threw money at a "Vpro" 9260 and the same thing happened. No problems at all with the Killer 1535 with the basic windows drivers with bluetooth and the same performance with wifi as the 9260 so I'm just using the 1535 with basic windows drivers.

You can connect to your phone using W10 BT drivers? I always used W7 drivers to access contacts on android/iOS/WP. With latest update BT file transfer won't work or detect at all.

Yes it works but it's slow. Windows Enterprise build from march 2017.

Anniversary edition aka v1607 correct? RS1 worked fine.
