Anyone tried them yet? Running stock qualcomm atheros drivers 10.0.0.222 (AR9XXX) for the killer 1103 at the minute been stable for me. Have no use/need for the killer manager software tbh.

I put the 6.1.0.546 version on my Windows 7 installations and 6.1.0.547 on a Windows 8 Pro installation.

Station-drivers has the W7 beta driver listed as 6.1.0.446 but it's actually 6.1.0.546.In device manager it will show up as v10.0.1.71

All seems to be working well. Not noticing any faster up/down speeds that are normally about 85Mbps Down/ 60Mbps Up on the 5ghz band in speedtest.net.

I have the 1103 w/3rd antenna in an MSI GT780DX and Netgear R6300 router.

I had been using Atheros 10.0.0.222 on W8 for better connectivity/stability.

Thank you for checking the driver version, will try them soon, need stable connection preferably. Looks like they are later drivers so I will try them, did you fully remove the old drivers first (uninstall from device manager) or just install them ontop?

I downloaded for my M17x and so far they seem much more stable on Windows 8. No disconnects so far and I have not had to disable any of the settings in the management software. Fingers crossed that this resolves all the Windows 8 issues and makes the card usable. I had placed an order for an Intel 6300 today and cancelled it to test these drivers out.

New won't install without removing the old.

First download the new version to the desktop or other location of your choosing.

If the new version doesn't offer to uninstall the old Killer version then go into the Control Panel>Programs and Features and uninstall the Killer Network Manager>reboot

Right click on the downloaded 7z file from station-drivers>run as admin and unpack to a new folder.

In the new folder right click on the 32bit or 64bit exe file that matches your OS.

To complete the installation the computer may reboot once or twice.

If the icon in the taskbar doesn't have a red or yellow mark in it(should be all white bars)then run the Network Manager>Network>Test

    This will run speedtest.net.

Make any other setting you need in the Manager and you're good to go.

You can safely uncheck the box in msconfig>startup>Qualcomm Network Manager to stop it from running and using system resources. It's no longer needed.

Thanks, had the standard Qualcomm drivers (AR9380) installed but otherwise same procedure. They look like the killer drivers have a newer driver version for the wifi (I had a connection drop + sound glitch at the same time on skype) which prompted me to install these drivers, seem ok so far.

10.0.1.71 for killer vs 10.0.0.222 for the qualcomm standard drivers.

I am using this drivers now for my killer-1103 and I have no more drop-outs on my 5ghz network, before was sometimes like 3 times in 15 min.
    Really nice beta drivers!

Do u guys also have the problem when installing the driver (doesnt matter what version).
    That it doesnt install correctly?
I need to system manager delete the driver en let windows search again for to let it work, and that's just by deleting the killer driver and installing/reactivating it again.
Very strange but it works this way on my system.

Can't say I have, but I did install it on a recent clean OS install so I had no previous drivers for it installed. Maybe you should run the Bigfoot CleanUp tool before installing new ones......

I don't recommend the cleanup tool.

The 2 times I experimented with it resulted in the new software not installing correctly.

As I stated in a previous post just uninstall the Killer Network Manager in Control Panel>Programs and Features if the new version installation doesn't offer to uninstall the present version.

Version 6.1.0.546 installed without issue on my MSI GT780DX with 1103(3x3) Windows 7 x64 HP installations(2) as did v6.1.0.547 on a Windows 8Pro installation.

The downloaded 7z file from station-drivers needs to be cleanly unpacked to a new folder so the Killer Setup.exe can be right clicked on and run as administrator as all exe files should be executed.

did this, and all I can say it ed things up.
And the problem is still there, after a few times installing and deleting the drivers etc. is is working.

don't recommand this cleanup tool (for windows 8 anyway then).

Sorry it's caused you grief - I guess Bigfoot are to blame for making such a tool.....

I have the same issue. When I install the drivers and restart, Windows says that there is no network card. Once I do the procedure you stated it finds the card and the correct drivers are installed. Maybe it has something to do with it being an Alienware and usually Dell wants you to install their custom drivers?

I have the M17x R4 they installed fine for me. Just need something like 7zip or similar to unpack it properly. Also I installed ontop of the qualcomm 10.0.0.227 drivers.

Has been pretty stable for me. Better than the previous drivers from killer networks for windows 8.

Not seeing all that much difference in Windows 7 x64 but on Windows 8 Pro the stability is greatly improved.

These drivers don't work on the leaked Windows Blue(Windows 8.1) build 9364

The Windows 8 kernel is 6.3 in Widows Blue and 6.2 in Windows 8.

If history is going to hold true then we can't expect a working Killer driver for Windows 8.1 until the final is released.

There's a generic Atheros Osprey driver built into the OS that works plus the new Qualcomm Atheros driver v10.0.0.234 works for my Killer 1103.

No it's not mandatory- what DDDenniZZZ meant was that he hopes the driver in question will make his connection more stable.
Qualcomm/Atheros drivers are a mixed bag- some are good and some terrible and they have had some issues recently (especially with Win 8 drivers)

Just an update, for the killer 1103 with .547 beta drivers have been ok for me lately on windows 8, no drop outs and, with all the features of the killer network manager working as well.
