Hi, i'm trying to get a notebook Clevo VS MSI, i think i spend most of my time on Steam, and Online MMORPG as well as MMOFPS. So for me i concerned only Internet Speed. Currently my Asus N45SF got issue with WiFi, whereby i heard the body itself got crappy designed for antenna so my signal is at half bar, and 4/5 when the router just next to my notebook.
Ok back to the title, the only feature i'm looking into is the Killer Ethernet E2200 from MSI. Anyone do any benchmark on it? vs the traditional Intel/MarvelYukon Ethernet.
P/S: lastly, should i get a better router to improve my network latency.
Currently ~~ ONT--> SingTel Pace Router(Singapore) --> Home plug --> Home plug--->Aztech Router --> My notebook, all via Lan except two Home plug is via normal AC cable

E... any idea? as the post didn't seems to get replied from any forum member

It's not gonna be any faster. Ethernet adapters have very low latency to start with and there's hardly anything to be gained from using a Killer card. Don't spend money where it doesn't help at all - look into your router as upgrading it may bring some improvements but not the NIC.

the homeplugs bring the most latency, believe me the difference between being directly connected to router and homeplug is noticable, maybe even a strong wireless router is better..(depends on your home situation) I personally game a lot too. I just use the build in motherboard ethernet and an intel 6230 wireless card. In combination with my Asus rt-n66u I only get 3ms more on wireless than wired, which is nothing.. my room is on the same floor as the router, 3 rooms away. I don't bother using homeplugs, i can game wireless just fine, even for fast shooters
