    Hi there,

After much deliberation (with the help of this site of course!) I have purchased a dv6000t notebook and it is working beautifully. I'm just wondering whether it is possible to keep a wireless internet connection on while the lid is closed? I like to keep the notebook on overnight while downloading big files - but when I close the lid the blue "wireless" light near the toggle switch at the bottom goes red after about 5 seconds or so.. is there any way to disable this? (or otherwise turn off the screen without turning off the net?)

Also is there any way to turn off the "beeping" sounds for the Quickplay buttons (or perhaps change their sound or volume)? I can't find any notebook specific advanced options!!

    Many thanks,

    Davo. :)

. set power option to "do nothing" when lid closes
. audio options to turn off sound or change sound
. network connections: uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

    cheers ...
