I have an application that requires jumbo frames to be enabled fro Gigabit Ethernet Communication. ( Gigabit Ethernet Machine Vision Camera, 7k packet size )

I have been looking for laptops with built in Gigabit Ethernet Adapters rthat support Jumbo Frames, preferably using the Intel Chipset but I haven't found any.

I have been using External Adapters by US Robotics, Linksys and TrendNet with mixed results, they seem to stop functioning after a few weeks of continuous use.

I would appreciate if someone can recommend a laptop with built-in Gigabit Ethernet connectivity supporting Jumbo Frames.

    Thanks for your help!

The Marvell Yukon Chipset based Ethernet Controller supports jumbo frames of 4088k and 9014k (this would be the equivalent of 4k and 8k)

7k is a kind of odd size, but the Realtek 8168c chipset supports it (but does your router or switch)?

In order for jumbo frames to work, all of your network devices must support it.
