Network and sharing center freezes, server execution failed

I recently received a Dell Vostro 1500 with an Intel Pro 3945ABG Wireless Card.
It uses windows Vista. Everything was working fine until 2 days ago when the wireless icon started showing the red X even when it was still connected. Then yesterday, my connection failed. Trying to open ANYTHING related to the networking/wireless options in vista locks up for about 10 minutes and then when it finally opens, locks up again without me being able to click on anything. It is working at the moment luckily. Any advice? The only things I've changed recently were updating the driver, which I have since rolled back( that fixed the problem for about 10 minutes), and running the DefragBootFiles script from the Vistas tweaks section.

You may have a hardware failure. When your nb is cold on the first startup does it work linger than 10 before it fails? If so it sounds like a thermal problem/bad card. Contact Dell they may send you a new card to try.

Make sure your energy management is not powering the card down to save energy. This option can be found in the Control Panels and Adv Properties of the Port. Set to Constantly on, MAX Power. The settings must be done in both areas.

Does it work with other wireless routers?

I fixed this problem. Its a problem with windows Vista. If anyone else has problems with this, this is what you need to do:

Network and sharing center freezes, server execution failed
