Ok, My internet connection was running really slow, so I checked out our usage, and turns out we have capped it. I looked and there are 4GB+ worth of downloads on there. I just calculated, that it is even IMPOSSIBLE for us to download 1GB in PEAK hour (8am-11pm). If we get an average of around 50Kbps, and there are 39,600 seconds in peak hour, I calculated we can only download, 792MB's! I may be wrong, I do not know my maths, or internet connections very well.

Could someone help me out a little here.

    Cheers :)

BTW, This may be the wrong place to post, but seems as though it says "Broadband service" I figured it fit here. And yes, I have a very, very bad internet connection!

unless we have a look at the T&Cs for your ISP, there is no way to tell.

Well, I've just searched high and low on the ISP's website, and all I could find was the Privacy Statement.

I don't think anyone can help you here. You have to contact your ISP for that. It sucks that your ISP capped your bandwidth and data.

You sure the cap is daily? I'm thinking your ISP may have thrown on a monthly cap of 4GB, which can be very easy or hard to hit, depending on your usage. Also, how secure is your wireless network, if you have one?

Also, 50 Kbps? Are you on dial-up? IIRC, downloading 1gb on dial-up used to take around 2 days, assuming a perfect connection and little-to-no background traffic

We have a 12GB Monthly peak limit, + 16GB Off-Peak, there are downloads, in my Usage list, of 4+GB I'm just saying, that that, mathematically, is impossible, no?

S'okay, my ISP does the same. Theoretically, in my house hold, it's impossible to hit 90 GB of data, yet someone we pass it every single month...

Do you people just go off of your ISP's measurements or are you doing your own monitoring, too (using something like the excellent usage monitor in Tomato or added measurements from each computer (guess this doesn't factor in other devices...))?

I go from my ISP's measurements. But, I will however, start to do my own monitoring.
