I'm using a bellsouth dsl+linksys router for my laptop.
My dsl works fine when I connect directly with my desktop. However, when I connect dsl to router, it disconnects alot.So that I have to reset the dsl&router about once a week. Should I change the modem? But I don't think it's problem, because it works great with my desktop.
So is there any way that I can connect internet wirelessly with my laptop without router?

Or Could you guys help me out what should I do?
I'm pretty satisfy with my wireless connection speed from router but it disconnects me alot.Should I change my dsl modem? or router?

umm the short answer is that the problem is with the router, not your modem.

I'm pretty sure it's problem with my modem.
When my modem's light (ready) blink, internet doesn't work.
but it happens only when I connect modem with the router.
    it was working fine before.

one more thing is when I plug the cable to the router. Its light showing on different line. If I put in 4th cable, light will up at 1st light. If I put cable at 2nd, it will light up at 3rd, 1st will light up 4th.
I reseted the router and set up for factory default but it happens again.

is this recently? or has this been going on for some time? i may even blame your ISP, if all the other hardware works.

Are you counting the WAN port as LAN1?

If your DSL modem (dsl line) does not lock and stay green, it is a ISP problem. ISP may need to tweek the signal to maintain a solid Green.
