    Is it Illegal ti Use Someone elses Wireless?
    Say a Neighbour has wireless is it illegal to connect coz isnt everything in the air free?

    It is technically illegal, yes. You would need consent to use their connection in order to legally use their access. At that point, it is likely an infringement on their EULA to share access.

    Enforcement is slowly picking up steam in this department from what I hear.

    If it's not yours then you stealing. Unless you ask. My neighbor lets me use their wireless. I'm not sure if it's perhaps violating their providers terms of service agreement.

    Yes...most routers allow you to find out what IP address and MAC address is on the network. From there, they can get a decent idea of where you are. Even if it is 'in the air' it is still illegal because you are stealing bandwidth someone else is paying for.

    Unless that other person gives consent, it's illegal.
