    Hi everyone,

I'm going to buy a new notebook (Dell E1705) soon and wanted to know if Wireless G (or A/G) card would be compatable with a Wireless B access point. The reason I'm asking is because Dell doesn't offer a Wireless B option for their wireless cards.

Thanks to anyone who can help

G is backward compatible with B you should be fine. (B is just slower - so if you conect to a B network you will be restricted the 11mps of B instead of the 54mps of G - and these are theoritical speeds - actuall is usually always less for both )

Yes you can connect both. Usually the box of the router will say "Compatible with B & G Wireless".

I suggest rerading my guide if you want to get the basics down of wireless, and how to hook everything up
