Hello--computer dunce to the max here so I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong. We have a Netgear router and have been surfing for the past two weeks just fine on our new Lenovo. Nothing strange happened to the computer or anything like that, but when I went to surf last night on our laptop--it wouldn't allow me access to the internet. It kept coming up "please enter the security or password key." So I tried to go to the IP address, the routerlogin.net, and the routerlogin.com (from our desktop) and the website page won't even come up. I wanted to go in there because when we set up our laptop to connect to the router--that's what we had to go into to get a series of alphanumeric numbers to type into the laptop as a security key into our computer.

Thanks, as always, for any help!

ummm...no...that would of been a nice, wise thing to do--eh!? I just took for granted that I would always be able to get onto the Netgear website. (Did I mention my computer--dunceness?) :)

If you can not connect via wired try rebooting the router. If you do not have the security PW to access the router you may need to reset the router to def and start over. If it's just the security key for the wireless, connect to the router and enter a new key. I hope your using WPA(2) Personal AES.

Thanks for all of the great answers. I'm might try rebooting the router. I'm still not sure why I cannot access the routerlogin.net website when I was able to do so two weeks ago? Things that make you go hmmmm?
