I currently have internet access with 3Mbs of speed. It's actually is a bit faster, but 3mbs is the official speed. I have Cox now but I'll be getting a plan with RCN soon. I'm not sure which plan to get though, the 1.5mbs or the 5mbs. 5Mbs seems too much for me since I don't download much stuff and it's $10 more, but I'll get rid of my TV soon, so I wonder if 1.5 would be enough for watching TV from site like abc.com or Hulu.

If it's not HD quality, then it should be fine. Although I'm pretty sure 1.5M will be fine for even HD...depends on the bitrate used in the film ,etc.

No not really. You will be buffering a lot. My uncle had it for use with netflix and it was terrible for him. Hulu might be ok but it will have to buffer a lot in the beginning.

If you have att in your area you can get a 6mb connection for 35 bucks a month which is a pretty good deal imo.
