    Internet through mobile phone

    Hey, wondering if anyone can help me out there. Basically i want to set up my mobile phone and laptop so that i get the internet. I'm not really sure how to go about it or what to look for and if there are different phone specs that only allow me to use GPRS instead of something else? I'm using bluetooth to connect both te phone and laptop together and my mobile supports modem use (or something like that!).

    Im in the uk and have a LG Chocolate phone and a Zepto (compal hel80) laptop...

    any help or pointing in the right direction would be great. Cheers

    Well depending on your service plan, you can only use this at QNC speeds.

    Basicly you will be using your phone as a land line to connect to a dial-up isp.

    oh and qnc speeds? yeah that is 14.4k.

    so is it just a case of setting up a dial up account with an internet provider like i would at home then calling them from my mobile using it as a modem?

    I spoke with my network and they said that the only way for me to do it would be to use GPRS and that costs $7 per Mb received which means it would be a bit expensive. I assume they told me this so I wouldnt use someone else and pay them more - **** orange!
