My cable provider offers me 7Mpbs down speed/ 1Mbps up speed. On my old Dell laptop - Dell Inspiron 8100, I can successfully get that speed (I check on many speed tests, such as DSLReports.com), with the D-Link wireless card that it uses. However, with my brand new Asus W3J, I check the speed using the same test as the one I used for the Dell, and I only got 4-5Mbps down speed. The upload speeds was correct. Is there a way to uncap this? Thanks.

Perhaps updating your cards drivers or router's firmware will help.
