    Internet disconnects randomly in Italy

    heya Folks, i'm in italy at the moment, and i find that my network connection in this apartment disconnects every now and then...

    it has a fastweb dsl(?) modem...

    anything i can do to make sure it does not disconnect?

    I assume you are wired directly into the modem?

    Or can you post more info....

    yes i am connected directly to the modem via cable.

    as this is just a rental apartment, i have no other issue except the make of the modem being a big gawdy fastweb box.

    i was here before, it worked fine... just this time...

    The modem itself can make or break an Internet connection. Also it would be good to call the ISP and report it. Sometimes it could be something on their side but they were initially unaware.
