Hello guys. I just moved into my college apartment, and for internet, my roommates and I will be using cable internet from Rogers. Thing is, my laptop sits on a desk on one side of the room, but the outlet the network cable goes into is on the other side of the room. I usually use wireless so cables are not a concern, but what do I do here? There's gotta be a way to connect the laptop to the internet outlet without a cable stretching the whole room right? Thanks!

Get a wireless rounter.

What are you getting from Rogers, a modem or a modem/router?
If you are getting a modem, then the modem will need more than one Ethernet port to connect a second computer to it. Then you will need to tender an Ethernet cable to connect your laptop.
If you are getting a modem/router from Rogers, then ask them if the router functionality comes with wireless access, if not, then you will need a second router with wireless functionality.
Internet connection for new apartment
