I'm going to try and be as clear as possible my first time through, but if you have any questions, please, ask.

A while back my laptop (Windows 7) began to randomly have trouble connecting to web pages. It would either not load at all or it would come up with a text only format. The weird part is is that my internet never actually disconnects (although sometimes it says limited connectivity), and all of my downloads continue as if nothing has changed.

I've updated my wireless card drivers.

This happens on both wired and wireless connections by the way.

In my network properties it says that my IPv6 connectivity say "No internet access."

Also, whenever I start up my computer I get this error message at the desktop "This application failed to start because msvcr71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I believe this has something to do with the .NET framework.

The problem effects all of my browsers as well. (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! Ask any questions you have, and I'll answer them as quickly as possible.

Try removing and reinstalling the network drivers, that actually helped me sort out some problems with my Realtek card in my X120e. To do this, open up Device Manager and in the Network Adapters section, right-click and click Uninstall for your WiFi card. Check "Delete the driver software for this device" and confirm. Then, install your network drivers and see if the problem persists.

I'll give it a try but the problem persists even when I have a wired connection.

Maybe I'm not understanding this, but, even if I fix my wireless card, will this have any affect on my wired connections? And does anybody know if that file I'm missing could mess with my internet connections?

The option to rollback my driver is unavailable (grayed out). The problem remains the same regardless of my browser. I don't want to screw around with that file I'm missing unless you think replacing it might solve my problem. I heard that it can be risky to replace those files individually, especially when you download them from less than trustworthy sources.

Also, I did a search for the file that is supposedly "missing" and it appears. Could the one I have currently be some sort of virus? If so, what should I do? I've already run rather extensive anti-virus scans.

Does it happen anywhere you go? Or just on your home network?

It happens on any network I have tried to connect to, wireless or wired. I just completely uninstalled and reinstalled my wireless card. The weirdest thing about it is that it doesn't seem to follow any pattern. Sometimes I'll be fine for an hour, sometimes it won't work at all and the rest of the time my webpages will load 50% of the time. All the while, any downloads I have going will be uninterrupted.
    ------------------------
I'd like to avoid saying "problem solved" until I have had some more time to test my internet connection, but it seems like uninstalling all of my wireless card software and drivers and then reinstalling them has done the trick. The only weird side effect this has had is my wired connection in no longer appearing. I suppose it isn't to big of a deal at the moment, but I'd like to figure it out as soon as possible. Thanks for the help. It seems to have solved my problem (for the time being)

Ok, so I uninstalled and reinstalled my wireless card, and the problem seemed to go away for a few days. Now the same problem is back, and I am at a loss for what to do next. Help?
