I'm getting fed up of my USB modem connected to my dell inspiron 8100, to connect to the internet, and my notebook does not have a high speed ethernet port. Do you guys have any suggestions? Is there any USB adaptor I could use, could i intsall a PC card, or could I go wireless with a router, I can't decide which is the best option, and I thought I'd get a few ideas from you guys before I rush in and buy anything! Does the router effect the internet speed in any way?? http://www.scinet.cc/articles/wireless-routers/images/netgear_MR814.jpg

I've just realised I put this thread in the wrong area. I should have put it in The "Wireless and Networking" section! lol

Once a mod comes on they will move it for you.
I think that if you have highspeed internet then your best bet would be to go for the wireless network. Mine only costed me $65 between the router and card. It is easy to set up. Netgear is a good brand for wireless, that is what I have. I don't know how good that one is, but at least it is a Netgear. -
thanks dude
