Okay I have the D-Link DGL-4300, and I'm trying to do internet connection sharing, but when i try to enable to it says " An error occurred while internet connection sharing was enabled. Internet connection sharing cannot be enabled. A lan connection is already configured with the ip address that is required for automatic IP Addressing."

Try having just the router plugged into the modem and nothing plugged into or connected to the router and than try and turn on internet connection sharing. It sounds like your computer or something that is connected to that router has the IP Address that your router is trying to pull from the modem. Once you do that go on your computer and go Start > Run > CMD > IPCONFIG /RELEASE than IPCONFIG /RENEW. See if that helps at all.

do you mean ICS within windows? you shouldn't need to use that if you are connecting via a NAT gateway (router).

Nope that didn't work. Maybe I have to go to the d-link configure page
