I have internet at home and at school. However, on occasion I need to access the internet when I'm away from those areas.

Is there a limited use network available that I can connect to on the few occasion when I'm away.

I remember reading about a company with a plan that was being formed that would allow you to purchase temporary use for when you need them, but that was several years ago. I don't remember the details of it or if it still exists?

Your M6700 takes a WWAN card, maybe you could get a pay as you go plan with a WWAN card, I don't know if the stock Dell allows for this, but it's worth checking out.

There are also WWAN USB dongles for this, you'll have something sticking out of your laptop, but if it works.

You can get a card, like Tijo said. They are kind of like a cel phone. You need to get a monthly plan, pay for data usage, or get a prepaid one which is more like a pay as you go. In fact many use the same 4G network that cell phones use.

Also, some cell phones can be hooked up to the computer to provide internet. Do a search for your cell phone and the keyword, tethering. Many cell phone companies don't like this, or ban it if you have unlimited internet. So check with them if concerned.

    Clear spot.

Or you can root your phone to get free tethering.

Yes, I know about the phone. Much simpler but not nearly as fast. Anyway, thanks all. It a subject that pretty well hidden by all parties.

Thanks to your directions, at least I was able to ascertain that Clearview the pioneer 4G network is now a part of Verizon. Also when I looked for cards they were either HP or Lenovo expensive and no specifics as to whether it was compatible.

Each piece of information is in bits and pieces and scattered among all the related companies. There doesn't seem to be one division that does it all. That is, for after market setup that is. Either way, I did mange to find out that this connection is very expensive to connect and operate.
