Hey, new to the forum...I'm having problems getting internet on my Hp Pavilion dv6000 notebook running vista premium. I'm connecting to a D-Link DIR601 router and my laptop has an Intel 4965AGN network adapter. All the other wireless and wired devices on the network can connect with no problems and stay connected. This laptop on the other hand, is having issues. It intermittently loses connection with the internet. It still says its connected to the network but I can't ping it from the host. Running diagnostics reveals that it can connect to other networks but not to the router on this particular network. I've tried changing channels (all 11 of them), unplugging all my wireless phones, moving my laptop, updating drivers for the network adapter and firmware for the router, manually entering the correct Ip address and gateway, resetting the router, and of course, restarting the computer. Nothing works...at least the computer usually connects fine after a restart but the problem comes back within a few minutes. I really have no idea what could be wrong, since this never happened when I used my old Netgear Router.

    Two possibilities jump out immediately

The first is faulty hardware--normally, that is not my first option, but because you have the dv6000 it adds to the possibility. The DV6000 was among the many HP laptops suffering from nvidia chipset disaster--the first symptom being intermittent wireless issues.

The other is, of course, drivers. You do not mention your driver version or where you got it
