i live in a flat (apartment for those in the US), one neihbour below and one above.

myself and downstairs neighbour are having one or two problems with wireless. they canĀ“t seem to pick up their wireless signal at all, only mine (wpa) and one other. i can pick theirs up though, and connect via my own, but when they try to connect 8to whatever they are trying top connect to, might even be mine) it seems to give me connection problems. any ideas anyone?

thanks for the reply ..... no, they haven't connected to my network as it is wpa protected (which you helped me do actually) but they have tried they say. i'm wondering if them trying is giving me connection problems but i'm mystified by the whole thing really.

they seem to think that my wireless router is too powerful and blocking their access but i can pick their network up from time to time. i can pick up about 6 networks in total ... but they can only pick up 2 usually, and their own isn't one of them.

Have them come up to your place to see if they can see their own network.

Not only that, tell them to try moving around the router, maybe some wall or something is blocking it.
