first time posting and i've got an interesting one for you guys to crack. like many of us, i want to use my laptop to connect to xbox live wirelessly instead of paying to the wireless adapter. so i followed a guide and used ICS. everything works at my friends. but when i tried to share the connection at my own house, it says "an error has occurred while ICS is being enabled". that baffled me. i mean i am using the exact same laptop and yet i was unable to use ICS nor even bridge the 2 connection together... any suggestions? thanks.... btw i have a HP dv9000 laptop..

have you tried remaking the connection?

It might have inherited settings that only work at your friends house.

I see, make sure you have ICS enabled on one connection only

Moved to Network/Wireless forums for better assistance.

Since you "followed a guide" (which one?) to set things up on your friend's xbox, you'll probably have to follow the guide in reverse to undo what you did to set things up for your friend's xbox, until you get back to square 0, and then work forward again until you've got it set up for your xbox.

well the guide was pretty straight forward.. right click on the wireless connection, select properties, go to the advance tab and check the internet sharing connection... now when i go do it i get an error.. and when i try to select both of my lan adatper and wireless adapter and try to bridge the connection, i get an error as well... so i dont know what is wrong...

ok.. new development.. i can now bridge the 2 connections together but still have an error when i tried to share the wireless connection.. i went to device manager and deleted MAC bridge miniport and now i can bridge the connections..
