I recently reformatted my i9300. I had XP home. I removed it
and installed XP Pro. I got all my drivers and software working.
    EXCEPT my wireless connection.

My wifi connects to my router, my neighrbors router and several others but my browser will not "see" the internet. The security is disabled on all of the routers as well.
I am getting an IP address assigned through DHCP.
I have tried using both the Intel and the the Microsoft client to manage mt connection.

I could easily connect when i was using XP Home.

    help??

if you have the wifi driver(s) and managing app (ms or proset), then it shouldn't have anything to do with the reformat.

can you paste your ipconfig results?

I would turn off all firewalls and see if one of them is possibly blocking IE. I've had it happen on zonealarm before.

    OK more weirdness now.
I went to get the ipconfig results and it just locks up command.com.
If i disable the wireless connection, i can run ipconfig.

Im starting to think my 2200 is bad.

are you running it from the run command or launching the command prompt first?

    maybe try reseating the card?

    reseating the card didnt help.
I may go back to XP home to see if that helps.

    Just an FYI..

    Just now reinstalled XP home.
I am posting wirelessly from the same PC that I was asking about.
Seems the 2200 does not like XP Pro.

thanks for all the suggestions !
