    I have just reformatted my XP. I had my intel wireless receiver always go to the I P of 192.168.1.5. I cannot remember how i did this. Can anyone please help me?

    Network connections> right click adapter> general tab > click Use the following IP + Subnet + Default gateway. You were using a static ip correct? Or alternate configuration and set options.

    Some router allow you to reserve IP's by MAS address.
