    I'd use Atheros in an instant...

    Too bad its hard to get them here, but its well worth it in my opinion.

    You have to be kidding... Intel is a piece of crap. Look at the posts on this forum. Speed keeps dropping and fluctuating. High power consumption. I have switched to Atheros myself and I am not looking back.

    I'm bidding on an Atheros card on ebay at the momment, the AR5005 though, but I hope to get a comparison between those two.

    Well, if you plan to use it for a long run.. it's not expensive. Because the features you will get out of it is amazing; to me i find this is not just a wireless card, i also see significate increase on battery for about 15%. In addition, it doesn't run as hot as my last Intel. To conclude this, i think it's very doable and worth it.
