I just bought a Intel Wifi 5300 full card from a seller on Ebay. When I replace my old 4965agn with it, it works but it affects my speaker and makes some strange sound. I have no problem with my old 4965agn. So is there anyone who try a Intel 5300 too? Is it a compatibily problem of the SZ or the card I bought is faulty?
    Thanks all.

I also have an SZ and just replaced my 4965 with a 5300. I purchased it from an online retailer where the 5300 received excellent ratings.

The sound only comes from my speakers when I am putting a load on the wifi card (loading a web page, browsing my LAN, pinging another device). It is very similar to the sound one often hears when putting a cell phone near a clock radio (just one example).

I hope someone is able to shed some light on this for us!

Your getting static/interference, probably due to poor shielding on the card..
